1000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN

Wouldn’t it be awesome to meet your Kindergarten teacher and be able to say, “I have finished reading 1000 books?”  Gallatin County Public Library wants to make this possible.
 
In as little as 15 minutes a day, families or caregivers can read to your children and together accomplish this major goal.  Reading causes bonding and creates life-long memories for everyone involved.  While reading, skills are developed for success in school and in life.

Any time your child reads a book, or you read a book to him/her, mark it in the log.  Reading the same book several times is encouraged and each reading of the book counts. Young readers will earn milestone badges as they work towards 1000 books.  Each time your child completes a 100 book milestone, visit GCPL for a small prize.
