
OLD PIONEER FARMERS MARKET

The Old Pioneer Farmers Market's 2026 season begins May 28 and will close on September 3, or as the season dictates, and runs from 4:00 - 7:00 PM every Thursday. We are soliciting vendors. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please view the below linked documents for more information. A pre-market planning meeting is scheduled for vendors on April 23, 2025, and will run from 4:00 - 5:00 PM. It will be held at the Gallatin County Library.

Commercial Food Manufacturing in Kentucky: A Starter Guide
If you are interested in selling preserved foods, contact Rhonda at the Gallatin County Extension office [(859) 567-5481] to take the course for the prerequisite certificate.
If you are interested in selling cooked foods, please complete this checklist:

Read the bake sale guidance document.

If you are a home based processor, read the home based processor application instructions and complete the DFS-250 form.

If you want to cook or otherwise prepare food on-site, you must contact the local health department [(859) 567-2844] five days before the market to pull a temporary food permit. A temporary food permit also limits you to only set up in the same area for 14 days. After setting up for 14 days you will not be allowed to operate there for 30 days.
