SUMMER READING

The Gallatin County Library offers Summer Reading programs through June and July of each year.
Summer Reading is prizes, events, and fun programs. It is also the library’s way of encouraging lifelong literacy, helping children prepare for the upcoming school year while building habits that can benefit them for years to come.
Reading builds vocabulary and comprehension, but it also builds empathy, imagination, and curiosity. Through books, readers experience perspectives beyond their own.
To see our onsite events, check out our calendar or download the Summer Reading 2026 flier. All events are free to attend, but some may require registration.
To participate in the online reading program, please install the Reader Zone application. The application requires a library card and program code to use, and participants have the opportunity to win prizes. Winners will be grouped by age range, with winners selected by most minutes read. To see available prizes, visit the library.
Our Reader Zone program code for 2026 is 859ae.
The 2026 Summer Reading kickoff is scheduled for June 4. Summer Reading will conclude on July 30.
